Students
If you are an international student, you can vote. You do not need to be a citizen. You just need to rent a house or apartment in the City of Melbourne under a signed rental agreement and have lived there for one month or more.
If you are an Australian citizen, you are eligible to vote if you live in the City of Melbourne. The best way to check if you are enrolled is to visit the Victorian Electoral Commission website.
Up to two renters under a rental agreement are permitted to be enrolled per property. Each person is allowed one vote.

Complete the following form/s to enrol, change your enrolment or update your personal details on the roll:
- Complete Form D – Enrolment Application from Property Occupier to register your enrolment. The form is available as a printable version (PDF) or as a Word document (DOCX).
- Complete Form J – Request to Vary Non-Resident Occupier Enrolment to change the enrolments at your rental. The form is available as a printable version (PDF) or as a Word document (DOCX).
- Complete Form G – Enrolment Correction if you would like to change your personal details or mailing address. The form is available as a printable version (PDF) or as a Word document (DOCX).
